The shelf for this year
The New in 2026 shelf and the latest movies page carry this year's releases across every language, ordered by popularity and by release date respectively. Dhurandhar, Coolie, Peddi, Jana Nayagan, Gandhari and Alpha are on it now beside Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey. The years page holds 2025 and every earlier year the same way.
The gap
A large Indian release opens in cinemas on a Thursday or a Friday and reaches its streaming service four to eight weeks later, usually on a Friday, and usually in four or five languages at once; a Hollywood blockbuster takes six to twelve weeks to reach a service in India. A film appears on the site the moment it reaches a service in HD, so a title you saw in the cinema last month is here or about to be; save it to My List and the Watch now list tells you the week it arrives where you are.
Why not sooner
Between the cinema and the service there is no HD copy, only recordings of a screen, and those are not what the HD label means. The card waits until the real release, in the tier it deserves, with the dub in its menu.
Which service gets it
Each studio has its deals: the South Indian majors split between two or three services, the Hindi studios between the same and one more, and Hollywood between the global platforms. The Watch now list on the title page names the one that has it in your country the week it arrives, and the free ad-supported tiers pick up the Indian films within months.
